Sinful Haven Reviews Returns
Hello, and welcome back to my blog. Going to try and keep this short and sweet, but the tl;dr is that much of my older content was made in an act of desperation for financial support. After everything fell apart, I still continued to cling to that mindset. Well, I'm not proud of what I tried to make, and in doing so, I feel that as I look back, some of my content even fell off by the very standards I had set for myself. So I'm cleaning house, taking out some of the reviews and posts I'm not proud of, and also making a plan to stick to my ideals.
So first, you may notice some reviews disappeared. That's because while I was making reviews, some games were simply "okay" and I just passed them on. If the review is still there, that means I meant what I said and still agree with that review. As for my future process, there will be some changes to how I intend to make my reviews more professional and better. I won't delete all of my older reviews, even when I redo those games because it's still important to remember where one has come from. But many games have changed over the time since they were reviewed, and I feel they deserve a new review. Some have improved, others have not. While I feel that it is important to focus on the positive and that was the original intent of these reviews (and will still be the primary focus), it's only fair to re-review the games that had fallen and update readers on where I stand with those ones as well.
Now, as for the changes I intend to make. First off, as mentioned before, I will specifically only be covering adult content games and mods. Something like Degrees of Lewdity or mods such as Skyrim Defeat mods are what I'll aim for. You aren't here to listen to me tell you about vanilla Skyrim, but games like that can have some fun adult mods. How I'll cover mods is still something I am contending with, as like Pringles, once you add one, you can't help but add another. I debated one at a time, but that'd take too long and I also considered specifically putting together packs of mods, reviewing them and how well they work both separately and as a group. Anyways, if you have some input, feel free to stop by our Discord and I'll be happy to hear your thoughts.
The next big change I want to make is to focus on not just the game, but also the developers who work so hard on these games. Once I feel worthy of their status, I may consider doing interviews with them, but for now, I just want to make sure they are supported. Before, I would simply post the review with a link to where I ultimately obtained the game in question, but I will now be making sure to include any and all links that I can to support them. Discords, Patreons, Subscribestars, Twitters, no matter what they have publicly available, I will try to post ways for readers to directly connect with their new favorite games and their creators.
To wrap up, I'm going to say this: While financial support would be nice as I do have a small team of people to help build up not just this blog, but Sinful Haven as a whole, I won't be pushing that as hard as I used to. I will, however, be selfish enough to ask that if you enjoy our community or any of our Sinful Haven projects such as this, then please do share them. I understand that our content is not easy to share with friends, and especially awkward to share with family, but if you can share it, we want to create not just fun content, but also a home to the degenerates of the world where they can open up and be themselves without worrying about being judged. A small place to call home to take off your mask of smiling at every customer and venting your bad day. Or somewhere you can go to talk about how you just got raped by bandits 19 times in Skyrim and are now their sex slave. We want to make a community where people don't have to hide their sexuality, whether straight, gay, asexual, bisexual, polyamorous, etc. Whatever you are, we're happy to welcome you into Sinful Haven's community ^.^
